The name Alaska comes from the Aleut word 'Alyeska' or 'great land' and the 49th State certainly lives up to its name. Experience glaciers bigger than the whole of Switzerland, the tallest mountain in North America, and an abundance of wildlife, including Grizzles, wolves and moose on an Alaska holiday. Alaska's pristine coastline, rugged interior, unique Native American cultures, and endless sightseeing opportunities, will leave you spellbound.

For climate and topography, Alaska constitutes a virtual subcontinent and its National Park system protects its natural, cultural and historical features. Some of the most popular destinations include Anchorage, Denali, Kenai Fjords and Wrangell-St. Elias National Parks. Hiking trails abound as do opportunities to explore by raft, kayak or even float plane - the only way to truly comprehend the vastness of Alaska's untouched wilderness.
