VISA WAIVER PROGRAM
VISA WAIVER PROGRAM Travellers from the EU and certain countries are eligible to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program if they meet certain requirements and have an electronic passport.
Any person who is planning on travelling to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION and receive approval via the US Embassy website's Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) before travelling to the USA.
From September 8, the US will start charging European travellers $14 for electronic visa's (ESTA) to travel to the US. The ESTA lasts for two years, or until a person's passport expires.

The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is a new fully automated, electronic system for screening passengers before they begin travelling to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. Voluntary ESTA applications may be submitted any time prior to travel to the United States, and Visa Waiver Program travellers are encouraged to apply for authorisation as soon as they begin to plan a trip to the United States.
Registration is a simple process that will only take a few minutes to complete.
Please only complete the form provided through the above link. Registration is currently free until September 8th 2010, however there are a number of companies charging an unnecessary fee for the service of guiding you through the completion of the forms.
Please note, as of June 1st, 2009, all US citizens will need a valid passport to cross US borders. For further information of the Visa Waiver Program please use the links below.
