As well as offering plenty of free time for swimming or just 'chilling out', all tours offer a fantastic variety of included activities, from the gentle fun of an off-road 4x4 tour to the adrenaline rush of white water rafting. What about riding the range like a cowboy in the desert southwest or spotting bears in Canada?

Optional Activities You don't have to be athletic or have previous experience to enjoy our adventure holidays. Some of the more prominent activities for every trip are listed under the "Optional Activities" section on each tour page. These activities are arranged and paid for locally through your tour leader, so you can choose which ones to participate in, and you can be assured that our tour leaders know where to get the best group rates. With our optional activities you can tailor your family's tour according to your budget or level of adventure.

Ages on child & teen departures The average age of children on our family adventures is 13 and due to the nature of our trips, the minimum age is 8 years old (children aged 6 & 7 will be considered on request). Children aged 16 and under also receive a 10% discount off the normal tour price. As we know it is important to match children of similar ages, we also offer Teen departures on many of our trips specifically for families with children aged 13 and over. Younger siblings are welcome upon request.
