MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMPING TOURS

Camping often allows us to stay in the heart of the most breathtaking natural scenery, away from fast food outlets and the encroaching development. Our experienced tour leaders and top quality equipment will surely enhance your experience; and at many sites we stay two or three nights, so there is more time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Nearly all of our local campgrounds provide modern conveniences and amenities such as hot showers, flush toilets and even small cafes; whilst others will have swimming pools, shops and laundrettes. On special occasions, our groups may utilise rustic, wilderness sites in order to fully appreciate more remote areas' natural surroundings. That said, waking up at camp to the smell of fresh brewed coffee provides a truly intimate natural experience and one that eludes conventional tourists.

Speaking of enjoying the experience, your comfort is important to us and we know that starts with using high quality camping gear. We only use top of the range, spacious two-person tents and thick (air/foam-filled) sleeping pads to ensure your evenings are comfortable and restful. Sturdy camp chairs are often available for those fireside chats and your guides help prepare delicious meals in our portable kitchens using state of the art camping stoves and gas lanterns. All you need to bring is a warm sleeping bag and a sense of adventure and you will be sure to enjoy the trip of a lifetime!

  • Whitewater rafting

    Activity... Every Grand American Adventures trip includes a variety of included and optional activities to ensure that every day is dynamic and unique. From hiking the scenic trails to horse back riding or mountain biking, your tour leader will organise the activities and fit them neatly into the days' schedule. All that's important is that you're relatively fit and keen to participate. The activities that we offer are great for both novices and for those more experienced, so, why not try something new on your next holiday and make the most of the Grand American Adventures experience!

  • Cycling In Yosemite

    ...and Fun! Besides the many included activities and guided day hikes, there are often numerous optional activities from which to choose. Snorkelling, rafting, glacier trekking and even a scenic helicopter flight are just a few examples. Optional activities are not included in the tour price, so you're able to select interesting activities according to your own taste and budget. The tour leader will be happy to answer any questions and organise these activities locally on your behalf. And with our longstanding relationships with local outfitters, we will be sure to get you the preferential Grand American Adventures rate.

  • Dinner At Bryce Canyon

    Get Involved An essential part of a Grand American Adventures camping holiday is helping out around the campground. Our tents are easy to set up and with guidance from your tour leader, everyone assists with the setting up and packing down of the camp together. Whilst our leaders shop for fresh food and may advise in preparing the daily meals, we ask that you lend a hand in the 'kitchen' or at the BBQ. Our international groups regularly create and enjoy delicious meals together and on occasion they also sample the local cuisine at nearby restaurants or whilst in the city.

    About Our Menu Grand American Adventures leaders' coordinate local shopping and advise the group in creating healthy, hearty breakfasts, picnic lunches and delicious dinners each day while camping, so you can take that path less travelled... with a full stomach.

    We prepare plenty of good fresh food on our camping trips and anticipate hearty eaters. Meals consist of a variety of balanced dishes and, aiming for universal appeal, we avoid highly spiced foods (although chilli peppers will often be available on the side!)
