  • Delicate Arch

Perhaps the most famous sight in Arches National Park, this is definitely worth the visit. The size and structure of this amazing 65ft freestanding natural arch just cannot be appreciated from a photo! The short walk to the base of Delicate Arch offers spectacular views of the surrounding desert and mountains, and offers a truly magical moment - upon turning a corner the arch suddenly comes into view and frames the stunning view of the La Sal Mountains!

2) Angels Landing in Zion National Park

  • Angels Landing

Famous for its spectacular views, Zion National Park was forged by the Virgin River as it carved through sandstone to create incredible scenery; deep multi-coloured canyons, soaring cliffs, cascading waterfalls, riverine forests and flowing rivers. And there's no better place to admire the beauty of Zion than Angels Landing! This half day hike will take you to 1750ft above the canyon floor to the narrow spine of a geological fin, where you will get unbeatable valley views and canyon vistas spread out as far as the eye can see.

3) Peek- A-Boo Loop in Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Bryce Canyon

A strenuous trek but well worth it! Descending from the amazing vantage point of Bryce point, you'll go down below the rim into the canyon, walking through the incomprehensible wonderland of hoodoos and fins. These red and sand coloured towers and turrets and frilly rock spires will make you feel as though you are walking on another planet, and the view changes at every corner you pass. We love this trail, often quieter than other trails, it allows you to really take in the beauty of the canyon.

Heading along the trail that takes you all the way to the summit of Mount Katahdin, you'll be greeted with gorgeous views of the stream and an abundance of pines and moss-covered rock. Climbing higher you'll get spectacular views of the park before reaching the Katahdin Stream Falls, where your reward is to soak in the beautiful vista whilst listening to the thunderous sounds of the water flowing beneath you.

5) The Skyline Trail in Mount Rainier National Park
  • Mount Rainier

With an elevation gain of 1,400 feet, this five-mile hiking trail is one of the greatest hikes in the USA. The view from the top of the loop on a clear day, includes Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens. In spring, take a moment to pause at the top of the trail to hear glaciers on the mountain groan and grumble as they crack and move. August can be a particularly beautiful time of year for this walk as the park is covered in beautiful wild flowers adding a splash of colour to the green mountains.
