You can experience the raging Kicking Horse River first-hand with an optional exhilarating half day white-water rafting excursion or choose to canoe and hike at the magnificent Emerald Lake. Located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park was established in 1885 and is Canada's oldest national park. Its mountainous terrain encompasses coniferous forests, alpine meadows, icefields and glaciers. Outstanding hikes are available and with an abundance of wildlife around, there is always a chance of seeing something so keep your camera at the ready. There is nothing better after a hard days hiking than an included soak in the Sulphur Mountain Hot Springs. With its snow-capped peaks, ancient pine forests and aquamarine waters, Lake Louise is 'the gem of the Canadian Rockies'. Lake Louise has always been a popular tourist destination, so it is no surprise that it is the most photographed destination in the Canadian Rockies! The vibrant glacial hue of Lake Louise will take your breath away, so rich and colourful it almost doesn't look real, but believe us it most definitely is real and is just waiting for your visit.

Jasper National Park is the largest national park in Canada, covering an area of 18,878 square kilometres. It is much less developed than other areas of western Canada and offers a true wilderness feel. There are also opportunities for mountain biking or hiking amidst glorious lakeside scenery or visit Maligne Lake.

Day 9: Whistler

Travel the old Gold Rush trail through Cache Creek and on to the adventure capital of Western Canada! Perhaps better known as a winter resort, Whistler has plenty on offer all year-round including the opportunity to hit the trails, jump on your bike to explore at a different pace, zipline through the trees or even take a scenic glacier flight! Whether you're an adrenaline junkie, foodie or someone who likes to get close to nature, there's something for everyone in Whistler.
Accommodation: Hotel included (triple share suite with 1 twin room and 1 single room - both with private bathrooms and communal lounge area). Meals paid locally

Day 10: Vancouver

With free time to further your enjoyment of Whistler you depart early afternoon, leaving nature behind in favour of the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, Canada's most spectacularly situated city. With a population of over 2.3 million and surrounded by water this is one of the most attractive cities in the world. Native American culture is very much alive here as evident by totem poles in the famous Stanley Park. You enjoy a short orientation tour of the city that takes you to the thriving Gastown area as well as Stanley Park.

You may wish to extend your stay and book post tour accommodation (recommended) to make your own discoveries such as further enjoying the delights of Stanley Park by hiring a bicycle or some roller blades. In the park is also the fascinating Vancouver Aquarium - home to playful sea otters. Other options include visiting the excellent Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia to learn more about Native American culture, and sampling the excellent dining and nightlife options that this vibrant city has to offer.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
