Departing the bustling city of Vancouver enjoy an incredibly scenic first day's drive. Once you hit British Columbia it's all sweeping valleys, national forests and mountain passes, with hardly a town, house or streetlight in sight. The Okanagan Valley is a region famous for its delicious local wines which you can opt to visit in the evening or relax on a sunset sailboat cruise. Okanagan Valley is the gateway to the Rockies'; located by the banks of Okanagan Lake and known for its dry, sunny climate, dry landscapes and lakeshore communities.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally

Day 2-3: Yoho National Park

From the vineyards to the mountains, you make your way to Golden near Yoho National Park, your home for the next two nights. Overshadowed by the neighbouring parks of Banff and Jasper, Yoho National Park is the hidden treasure of the Canada national parks system. It is a photographer's dream with several hiking opportunities which deliver Yoho's pristine alpine landscape including stunning mountains, lakes and waterfalls. You can experience the raging Kicking Horse River first-hand with an optional exhilarating half day white-water rafting excursion or choose to canoe and hike at the magnificent Emerald Lake. An excellent alternative option is walking the challenging trails overlooking Takakkaw Falls, you're bound to be impressed by its unsurpassed beauty.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally

Day 4: Banff National Park

Located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park was established in 1885 and is Canada's oldest national park. Its mountainous terrain encompasses coniferous forests, alpine meadows, icefields and glaciers. Take a ride up the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain or view all this scenic grandeur from a helicopter flight. Outstanding hikes are available and with an abundance of wildlife around, there is always a chance of seeing something so keep your camera at the ready. There is nothing better after a hard days hiking than an included soak in the Sulphur Mountain Hot Springs. Banff's nightlife offers great live music and a fine selection of restaurants which you can most definitely sample your way through over a two night hotel stay.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally

Day 5: Banff National Park & Lake Louise

With its snow-capped peaks, ancient pine forests and aquamarine waters, Lake Louise is 'the gem of the Canadian Rockies'. Lake Louise has always been a popular tourist destination, so it is no surprise that it is the most photographed destination in the Canadian Rockies! The vibrant glacial hue of Lake Louise will take your breath away, so rich and colourful it almost doesn't look real, but believe us it most definitely is real and is just waiting for your visit.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally

Day 6: Icefields Parkway & Jasper National Park

The Icefields Parkway, cutting through the heart of the Rockies, is recognised as being one of the top scenic drives in the world, travelling for 230 miles past hanging glaciers, sheer rock walls and broad sweeping valleys. You have a chance to traverse a portion of the imposing Athabasca Glacier on an optional guided glacier hike and be amazed by Peyto Lake's turquoise hues. You end your day by continuing to Jasper National Park for a two-night stay.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally.

Day 7: Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is the largest national park in Canada, covering an area of 18,878 square kilometres. It is much less developed than other areas of western Canada and offers a true wilderness feel. There are several options on offer in Jasper, you can start by taking the cable car to Whistler Mountain for a bird's eye view of this splendid park. There are also opportunities for mountain biking or hiking amidst glorious lakeside scenery or visit Maligne Lake.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally.

Day 8: Wells Gray Provincial Park

Don't let the fact that Wells Gray is not a national park fool you, this place is stunning! Home to the famous Helmcken Falls, Canada's fourth highest waterfall as well as many smaller but equally as beautiful waterfalls. You have the chance to walk the rim, stopping at various viewpoints to admire the lush valley below, home to beautiful meadows full of wild flowers and roaming bears. Embrace the stillness, silence and isolation of Wells Gray but keep your camera charged.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally.

Day 9: Whistler

Travel the old Gold Rush trail through Cache Creek and on to the adventure capital of Western Canada! Perhaps better known as a winter resort, Whistler has plenty on offer all year-round including the opportunity to hit the trails, jump on your bike to explore at a different pace, zipline through the trees or even take a scenic glacier flight! Whether you're an adrenaline junkie, foodie or someone who likes to get close to nature, there's something for everyone in Whistler.
Accommodation: Hotel included. Meals paid locally

Day 10: Vancouver

With free time to further your enjoyment of Whistler you depart early afternoon, leaving nature behind in favour of the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, Canada's most spectacularly situated city. With a population of over 2.3 million and surrounded by water this is one of the most attractive cities in the world. Native American culture is very much alive here as evident by totem poles in the famous Stanley Park. You enjoy a short orientation tour of the city that takes you to the thriving Gastown area as well as Stanley Park.

You may wish to extend your stay and book post tour accommodation (recommended) to make your own discoveries such as further enjoying the delights of Stanley Park by hiring a bicycle or some roller blades. In the park is also the fascinating Vancouver Aquarium - home to playful sea otters. Other options include visiting the excellent Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia to learn more about Native American culture, and sampling the excellent dining and nightlife options that this vibrant city has to offer.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
