Day 1-2: Los Angeles & San Diego
Mission Beach is the perfect place to relax and play, with loads of activities. Rent some bikes or rollerblades, try your hand at surfing, or spend a day at SeaWorld or the world famous Zoo.

Day 3: Lake Havasu
Home to the original London Bridge and designated as a recreational area, this desert oasis has become a mecca for watersport enthusiasts throughout the Southwest.

Day 4-5: Grand Canyon National Park
Desert turns to pine covered plateaus, as the earth opens up to reveal one of the world's natural wonders the Grand Canyon. This incredible spectacle is difficult to comprehend, whether standing at the rim or hiking down into the canyon. Carved over several millennia, this massive wonder of nature is 445 kilometres (277 miles) long, up to 29 kilometres (18 miles) wide and over 1.6 kilometres (1 mile) deep. Snaking through the canyon floor is the mighty Colorado River, which runs 2330 kilometres (1450 miles) through seven American and two Mexican states.
You have the opportunity to explore the park at your own pace. In your free time, we highly recommend a scenic helicopter flight over the canyon, which offers a unique perspective unavailable on foot. Venture down the Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point, or just stroll along the more leisurely West Rim Trail and catch the shuttle bus to Hermit's Rest. Finish off the day by watching the amazing IMAX film, "The Grand Canyon Experience" .

Day 6-7: Las Vegas
We leave nature behind and head into Las Vegas for all of its neon splendour. Not just for grown-ups any more, Las Vegas has become the ultimate entertainment experience. With its rollercoasters and thrill rides, magic shows and all-you-can-eat buffets, there's plenty for the whole family to see and do.

Day 8: Sierra Nevadas
Leaving Las Vegas, we parallel Death Valley and the Sierra Nevada mountains upon our return to California, where desert and mountainous landscapes are only surpassed by a rich and colourful past.

Day 9-10: Yosemite National Park
Yosemite National Park is nestled high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of northern California. Here rolling green forests lie under sheer granite walls rising thousands of feet over the valley floor. Yosemite Valley offers pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife. Whether inner-tubing down the meandering Merced River (in season) or a hike to the top of thundering Nevada Falls, Yosemite's towering cliffs, waterfalls and Giant Sequoias are sure to impress.
Leave the crowds behind and explore the park on the many trails leading up from the valley floor. We'll experience some of the famous sites situated along these trails including Yosemite Falls, Nevada Falls, Vernal Falls, Mirror Lake and Half Dome. The views are breathtaking from every angle-the white granite monoliths Half Dome, El Capitan and Cathedral Rocks are sure to be forever etched on our minds.

Day 11-12: San Francisco
Voted America's favourite city, you'll find no shortage of things to see and do! Walk the Golden Gate Bridge, take a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and explore the largest Chinatown outside Asia. San Francisco's pace and charm will win your heart and leave you wishing for more.

Day 13: Pacific Coast
Travel south along the coastal range to the spectacular Highway 1. Rolling hills turn to coast plains for one last day at the beach and a chance to toast the setting sun.

Day 14: Pacific Coast & Los Angeles
Rise and shine for the short drive back to Los Angeles and a day at Universal Studios. See where the magic is made and take a trip to Hollywood before the end of the tour.
