After lunch we continue on to the Yucatan capital of Mérida for an evening on the town. With two full days to explore, there's plenty of time for a boat tour of the Celestun Nature Reserve - seasonal home to thousands of pink flamingos, then relax on the beach or explore the local fishing villages. Day 6: Uxmal

Explore the ancient ruins of Uxmal, before moving on to the colonial Valladolid where we tour the small plazas and fine architecture that reveal the glory of a bygone era. Enjoy a tranquil evening strolling the streets of a small city comfortably caught between ancient and colonial times.
