There can be few places on the planet that conjure up such evocative thoughts of wilderness adventures other than Canada's Rocky Mountains.

Some of Canada's finest national parks are scattered throughout the Rockies and from Lake Emerald in Yoho National Park to the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park, you'll soon discover just why this beautiful natural area is so highly regarded by both locals and seasoned travellers alike.

Canadian Rockies Tour Highlights

Yoho National Park
A more off-the-beaten track and highly worthwhile national park packed full of natural beauty. The Native American translation of 'Yoho' is 'awe and wonder' - and when visiting, you'd better prepare yourself for just that!
Banff National Park
Beautiful Banff features some of the country's best-loved glacial lakes and icefields. Just as popular in the winter as it is the summer, it has a wealth of hiking trails and hot springs to rival the enviable ski slopes.
Jasper National Park
With boundaries pushing over 4000 square miles, this is the largest preserved area in the whole of the Canadian Rockies. The Angel Glacier on Mt Edith Cavell is simply stunning, but melting fast.
Lake Louise
Lake Louise is one of those places that you can guarantee you'll remember for the rest of your life. Well-known for its abundance of walking trails, that can be undertaken around its shores, it's an outdoor activities paradise.
Wells Gray Provincial Park
One of the finest areas of wilderness that's incorporated within the sprawling Cariboo Mountains, with a fantastically diverse blend of terrain, plants and wildlife, making it a must for lovers of the natural world.
Waterton National Park
Not only is Waterton National Park famed for its lakes and rich variety of protected natural habitats, it's also a fantastic place to spot wildlife with moose, deer, bears and more than 250 species of birds calling the park their home.
Kannanaskis Provincial Park
As an all-year-round location you'll be spoiled for choice from mountain resorts and moguls in the winter to mountain biking and fishing during the summer, Kananaskis is a great option and easily accessible.
