Prince Edward Island Tours

Prince Edward Island ToursAlthough the smallest province in the MaritimesPrince Edward Island is well known as an inspirational spot for artists and promises plenty of natural beauty for anyone who's passionate about life outdoors. As PEI mainland is sliced with tributaries and inlets from the Gulf of St Lawrence, it's no wonder that life tends to revolve around the tides.

From canoeing to fishing, this is an excellent choice if you fancy spending your time gazing wistfully over water. From the Victorian architecture of Charlottetown to the rolling agricultural hillsides inland, Prince Edward Island presents an exceptional example of rural island life in Eastern Canada.

Prince Edward Island Insider Tips

Cows creamery
No trip to Prince Edward Island, or indeed the Maritimes, would be complete without indulging in a little bit of the local fare and although lobster is always on the menu, dessert is never far behind. Cows Creamery is as much a part of PEI folklore as Anne of Green Gables and bearded fishermen so a visit to the factory on the outskirts of Charlottetown can pretty much be ticked off as a cultural excursion. Voted as the best ice cream in Canada and boasting delicious cheeses too, if you're looking for the perfect excuse to cool down, welcome to dairy heaven!
When to go
In the main, July and August are the warmest and most popular months to visit Prince Edwards Island and attract the most visitors with festivals such as the Jazz and Blues Festival. If you're a fan of windswept beaches and thunderous waves then any time between January to April will be top of your list however, it does get cold. Late April through to June can still be cool but less stormy and makes an opportune time to visit if you're keen on fewer crowds. The autumn is pleasant and from early September through to mid-October you'll find a mild climate.
