Deep South USA

Home of jazz, blues, and rock 'n' roll, you can't go too far without coming across an incredible live band in the Deep South. The food isn't bad either, with some of the most mouth-watering dishes on the planet.

Deep South Tours

Deep South ToursStretching along the Gulf Coast from eastern Texas to Florida, the Deep South is one of those regions of the USA that conjures up more than its fair share of historic infamy as well as plenty of music, food and natural beauty to provide the backbone to a truly memorable tour.

Cities such as New OrleansNashville and Memphis present a fascinating blend of the old and the new, with must-visit places including The Grand Ole Opry, Graceland, Bourbon Street and Stax Records. If your toes weren't tapping to the sounds of jazz, soul and rock & roll before you arrived in the Deep South then they surely will be when you leave.

Deep South Holiday Highlights

New Orleans
With a laid-back attitude, 'The Big Easy' lives up to it's nickname. The French Quarter's beautiful architecture, soulful jazz music, world-class museums and art galleries and unsurpassed Creole and Cajun cuisine all add up to a whole heap of reasons to visit.
Memphis
Nicknamed the River City thanks to its proximity to the mighty Mississippi, Memphis is famous the world over for its musical heritage. With blues, gospel and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll all ground deep into the heart of the city, let the music fill your soul.
Nashville
Boasting almost 100 parks and green areas, there's much more to Nashville than just country music, and a visit to the full-size replica of the Parthenon in Centennial Park will surely testify. Forts Nashborough and Negley are also well worth a visit.
Natchez
Formed on the banks of the Mississippi River and presenting a fairly untouched image of what life must have been like when cotton was King, this is less a nostalgic glimpse of the past and more an authentic historical tour providing plenty of food for thought.
Birmingham
Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama and has recently undergone something of a revival leading to numerous restaurants, theatres, galleries and shops forming the majority of the downtown district.
Atlanta
The capital of the U.S. state of Georgia, Atlanta played an important role in the Civil Rights Movement. With plenty of stories to tell, its the perfect place to start your exploration of the movement's history.
Big Bend National Park
Filled with dusty trails leading high up into the mountains before descending deep into cool shaded valleys, hiking through the scenery is pretty much the best means of getting around in Big Bend.
